POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping Specialist participates in the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations in MA. Receives and stages trucks for inbound and outbound transportation. Transports products throughout the receiving, warehousing, and distribution process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Receive and prepare inventory for delivery.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
- Receive truck deliveries.
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts.
- Able to drive a box truck between warehouses at times. Must get a DOT medical card.
- Stages raw materials for production.
- Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error-free culture.
- Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by following operational policies and procedures.
- Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
- Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered
- Understand and execute all plant policies and procedures.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to define problems with inventory and report to Warehouse Manager for correction.
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software. Have PC skills, including training and knowledge of EPTAM’s software packages (IQMS).
- Good housekeeping and safe working habits.
- Create Shipping Paperwork.
- Use FedEx, UPS, DHL and some customer portals for shipping.
- Contact Shipping contractors to schedule pickups or delivery.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- EDUCATION: High school or Trade school graduate or associates degree or a combination of experience and education.
- Experience: 1-3 years experience in a warehousing operation
- Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/molding operation
- OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment.
