Summary

As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and components. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and analysis skills to conduct inspections and collect research data. Your expertise in ASME codes and standards, along with your proficiency in hand tools and measurement devices, will be essential in maintaining high-quality manufacturing processes. JOB DUTIES:

  • Set-up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests with appropriate NDT Technique; interpret, evaluate, and document results
  • Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel
  • Familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the NDT techniques
  • Has the skills and knowledge to conduct all of the above-mentioned functions plus the duties and responsibilities of the field
  • Provide required notification to appropriate safety management personnel during incidents and provide assistance as necessary

  • Candidates local or surrounding area strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License, required

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required, graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC-1A for one or all of the following (Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant, and/or Ultrasonic thickness testing).
  • Prior certification as an NDT Level II with 1-year experience or prior certification as an NDT Level I technician with adequate field experience to certify to level II per SNT-TC-1A standards in all or one of the following (Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant, or Ultrasonic testing).
  • Working Conditions: Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere, interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel, working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels, able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, must be able to tolerate climate changes.
