Equal Heart, located in Dallas, Texas, operates a multi-state AmeriCorps program that supports the work of 60 other non-profits that are expanding community impact. Equal Hearts’ partnership focus is to deploy an AmeriCorps team that meets the organizational needs of our partners while staying compliant with all federal rules and regulations. Our two goals are to achieve community impact and create a rewarding service experience for AmeriCorps Members. Equal Heart is not a static organization, as we continually work to identify unmet community needs and how AmeriCorps members can help resolve those needs.
We are looking for a Program Coordinator to help organize and monitor programs as our AmeriCorps operations expand. The AmeriCorps Program Coordinator is an entry-level position that will work on-site with the AmeriCorps team to ensure a smooth service for Equal Heart AmeriCorps members and will serve as the day-to-day contact for members. The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager and collaborates with other staff to meet program goals.
The purpose of this role is to maximize member enrollment, retention and ensure grant compliance. Therefore, performance in this role is directly correlated to maximizing member retention and minimizing compliance risk. This is accomplished by, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of the duties below.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain paperwork and electronic databases used to track AmeriCorps members across several sites;
- Assist in recruitment of AmeriCorps members on a continuous basis, including managing job board and screening applicants;
- Conducts onboarding process for new hires, including sending offer letters and running background checks;
- Monitors Member timesheets submission and tracks member hours;
- Assists with planning and executing training events;
- Creates recruitment and outreach materials;
- Attend job fairs to promote AmeriCorps program and recruit members.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· A collegial approach to work, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
Post Secondary Education is not a requirement. Being intelligent and a problem-solver is a requirement.
This is an in-person office.

Salary : $36,000 - $40,000
