The Payroll Analyst is responsible for assisting in the preparation, processing, reconciliation and distribution of payroll for approximately 6,000 multi-state exempt and non-exempt employees in North America. Payroll Analyst should have a working knowledge of the end-to-end payroll process and excel functionality including audit reports, garnishment administration, employee support, and basic payroll tax support.
This position works from our state-of-the-art global Headquarters in Midtown with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. (This is NOT a fully-remote role.)

What You’ll Do
- Assist in processing payroll and managing employment tax compliance for the company’s North America workforce helping to ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Load and reconcile payroll input and provide audit reports to related stakeholders
- Monitor employee updates to identify necessary tax changes
- Reconcile and request funding for garnishments, off-cycle payrolls and payroll taxes
- Monitor all agency notices and submit to vendor for resolution
- Manage administration of withholding orders, working directly with vendor to ensure compliance
- Serve as point of contact for HR Operations and employees for routine, and sometimes difficult, issues related to payroll
- Fulfill routine information requests for audit, regulatory compliance, management reporting, etc.
- Clearly and effectively communicate routine payroll related information to employees
- Assist Payroll lead in testing various transactions in Workday to determine accuracy of results
- Assist in integrating employees of all North America acquisitions onto EFX payroll
- Identify potential opportunities for process improvement in own work area
- Support corporate accounting and HR
- Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and standards.
- 3 years recent experience administering a complete high volume multi-state payroll process for a large company
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to forge productive relationships with customers and peers
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented and strong follow up skills
- Experience handling confidential issues in a professional and discreet manner
- Extensive knowledge of payroll principles, tax laws, employee garnishments, regulations, reporting, and procedures
- The pursuit of the CPP designation
