Position Summary : This role is critical in supporting our structured equipment finance operations by conducting thorough inspections, evaluations, and appraisals of various types of equipment, trucks, and trailers. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in equipment management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round. The role can be performed from anywhere in the US as a home base, but requires extensive travel with very short notice.
Key Roles / Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive inspections of heavy industrial and agricultural equipment, trucks, and trailers to assess their condition, functionality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Accurately document inspection results, including photos and detailed condition reports, and input findings into the company's asset management software.
- Assist in determining the value of equipment by assessing wear and tear, overall functionality, and market trends. Provide appraisals to support internal underwriting and financing decisions.
- Support the management of equipment inventory, ensuring accurate records for all assets. Monitor equipment locations, maintain inventory logs, and participate in periodic audits.
- Work closely with the sales, credit, and documentation teams to ensure accurate assessments of equipment for loan approvals and remarketing efforts.
- Ensure all inspections and activities are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
