Job Title: Azure Data Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on data engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cloud, and SQL to drive the development and optimization of our data pipelines, databases, and cloud infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions while ensuring seamless data flow, security, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience with Microsoft Fabric (pipelines, databases, and implementation), and a background in ETL processes. Additionally, proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure Cloud services (including storage accounts, website security, and virtual networking) will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Fabric Implementation & Management:
- Design, build, and optimize Fabric pipelines and databases.
- Leverage Fabric experience to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
- SQL Development & Optimization:
- Develop and manage SQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
- Azure Data Engineering & Cloud Management:
- Utilize Azure Data Factory to design and implement ETL/ELT workflows for data integration.
- Manage Azure storage accounts, ensuring data security and accessibility.
- Oversee web security and infrastructure for public and internal websites (MRE website, Intranet, etc.).
- (Bonus) Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- Data Flow & Code Execution:
- Develop and maintain data workflows, transformation logic, and integration processes.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to support data engineering and cloud infrastructure needs.
- Microsoft Fabric Expertise: Experience with Fabric pipelines, databases, and implementation is a strong plus.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills for database development, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Azure Cloud Knowledge: Experience with Azure storage accounts, security, and website management.
- ETL & Data Integration: Background in ETL development, preferably with Azure Data Factory.
- Cloud Networking (Preferred): Experience with Azure virtual networks, subnets, and NSGs is a plus.
- Hands-on Development: Ability to write code, understand data flows, and build scalable solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices in Azure.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.
