A Contract Administrator, or Contract Specialist, manages and reviews business contracts for financial agreements like company purchases, rental agreements, new hire contracts and business proposals. Their duties include negotiating contract terms and conditions with each party, analyzing potential risks involved with certain contract agreements and helping employees and leadership better understand the information outlined in the contracts.
Fundamental knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, standards, and equipment
Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports and technical documents
Ability to apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to real scenarios
Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain procedures
Proficiency in common office applications
Good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and law
Time management and problem - solving skills
Verbal and written communication skills
MUST HAVE PD2 SOFTWARE EXPERIEINCE AND A TS/SCI CLEARACNE TO BE CONSIDERED!
ADDITIONAL INFO FOR RECRUITING EFFORTS: Contract specialist experience creating, examining, and monitoring contractual agreements for and materials or labor suppliers.
Working knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues that may be related to the contracts you are overseeing. Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner
Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives.
Develop and implement effective procurement proposals.
Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.
Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations.
Proven work experience as a Contracts Specialist or similar role
Excellent oral and written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents and legal specifications
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Contracts Specialist
