What are the responsibilities and job description for the CVPICU position at Equiliem?
Join our team for a 13-week assignment with every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) commitment. The primary unit is PICU, with potential floating to Pediatrics and NICU based on appropriate assignments. Additional float units may be assigned based on skill set and hospital needs. Please confirm floating assignments with the traveler.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of cardiac experience, both documented on a skills checklist.
- Competency in caring for CT patients with conditions such as ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, Valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, TOF, post cardiac cath and ablations, cardiac transplant, and post cardiac surgery.
- Experience with healthcare pacemakers and Tele monitoring is required.
- Proficiency in BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care is required.
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 (confirm with traveler).
- Unit capacity: 19 beds.
- BLS & PALS certifications required; NRP preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
