The position
By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:Be a highly qualified Regulatory Manager/Administrator and support the company’s offshore wind portfolio in California
- The role is a key part of Equinor’s Renewables (REN) Americas business and will support regulatory/government relations and compliance, general regulatory affairs, and high-level stakeholder engagement including key regulators and policymakers, in coordination with overall Stakeholder, Permitting, Legislative efforts
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of regulatory agency dynamics and cross-agency impacts as well as regulatory processes and proceedings.
- Leveraging regulatory experience to develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring/participation and tracking system for Equinor’s engagement in relevant state regulatory proceedings in California - including workshops, hearings, public meetings, business and voting meetings at all relevant agencies, as required.
- Participates in relevant industry associations and work groups and coordinates with state and local legislative efforts and federal regulatory and legislative efforts
- Coordinates development of a comprehensive strategy across agencies for market support, regulatory compliance and administrative efficiencies
- Actively monitors, reports on and analyzes regulatory developments, proposed policies and issues impacting offshore wind and renewables market and operations in California and coordinates participation in proceedings – including preparation of filings and testimony as needed
- Provides Project Team and as required REN USA updates on milestones, filings and proceeding outcomes in California, and periodically updates project Strategic Plan for regulatory and policy
- Coordinates with industry partners, consultants and others to execute Projects’ Strategic Outreach and Stakeholder Outreach Plans and helps drive regulatory outcomes consistent with company, association and other allied parties’ priorities.

- 5 years of demonstrated experience/active engagement with regulatory agencies, with responsible or leadership role preferred
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, public administration or other related field/ and/or graduate level or law degree
- Broad familiarity with regulatory processes and/or administrative actions at the state level
- Requires knowledge of California state agency roles and jurisdictions
- Well versed in regulatory terminology, processes and procedures.
- Effectiveness as an external communicator and representative of the company and our values
- Strong writing, verbal and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment, to collaborate, take initiative and communicate on an enterprise-wide basis
- Salary range $116,285.00 to $174,480.00
