We are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Services to lead their clinical team and ensure the delivery of exceptional hospice care.
Position Overview:
The Director of Clinical Services is a pivotal role, responsible for the overall clinical, financial, and regulatory management and leadership of patient care services. This position will oversee all clinical operations, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and foster a patient-centered care culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for hospice care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team, ensuring the highest quality of patient care services.
- Manage the daily operations of the agency, ensuring the smooth functioning of all patient care services.
- Maintain an ongoing liaison with the Governing Body, staff members, and the community to promote collaboration and open communication.
- Ensure the agency, including any Alternate Delivery Sites, complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the health and safety of patients.
- Take action on reports and recommendations from authorized planning, regulatory, or inspection agencies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure that staff, including contractual providers, are educated on and have access to all applicable regulations.
- Oversee the completion, maintenance, and submission of all required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Implement an effective budgeting and accounting system that promotes the health and safety of the agency’s patients, while managing costs efficiently.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by supervising and evaluating patient/client satisfaction survey reports.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure the accuracy of public information materials and activities related to agency services.
- Provide administrative oversight for the provision of quality care to agency patients, ensuring that staff are adequately trained and evaluated regularly.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and standards of care.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must comply with required training for Administration of Agencies as described in Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 558.259 & 558.260.
- Must have at least two years of management in hospice
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Governing Body, IDG, and Medical Director.
