Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Administrator to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in nursing homes, retirement homes, or home care settings. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure high-quality care for residents while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resident care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing nursing homes and senior care facilities.
- Supervise nursing staff and support personnel to maintain high standards of care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality resident care.
- Manage medication administration protocols and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with social workers to address residents' emotional and social needs.
- Foster a positive environment for residents, families, and staff through effective communication and support.
- Conduct regular assessments of facility performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Engage with residents and their families to address concerns and enhance their experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or similar senior care environment.
- Strong understanding of memory care practices and medication administration processes.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
