Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the effort to maintain and evolve a world class safety culture throughout the organization
- Directs our internal safety committee to ensure employee engagement and awareness of safety priorities as well as opportunities for improvement are addressed throughout the organization
- Manages ECI safety systems, processes and procedures to accomplish our vision of an accident-free workplace
- Maintain required information (OSHA 300 log, contractor management portals, safety observations program and email, etc.) and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Enhance and deliver safety training programs to support internal and customer requirements.
- Publish weekly toolbox talks and monthly safety reports.
- Provide leadership for internal safety committees.
- Provide support for the incident investigation process for all safety incidents.
- Works with customers, vendors and principals to ensure safety processes and standards are aligned
- Ensures compliance to customer safety standards are being met by ECI employees working on site
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety or occupational health or technical discipline with significant related experience and exposure to OSHA general industry requirements (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a safety related role
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a developed competency to influence others
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams including knowledge of basic facilitation techniques
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Must be an effective listener
