POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator will support the solution planning and execution for assigned projects or programs. Will assist both sales and operations in researching and acquiring required permits for projects related to warehouse products and warehouse automation. Will interact predominantly with sales teams for upfront permit research and project management teams for ongoing projects. Will provide regular start updates to all stakeholders using a central permit log. The position requires the candidates to be able to read engineering CAD drawings which describe details of layouts within a warehouse. Candidates should have basic CAD skill or be willing to learn in order to make simple revisions to layouts when required during the iterative permitting process.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Research permit approval process in different States, Counties and Cities in order to include costs in sales estimates.
- Keep a data database of all permit processes.
- Initiate permit submission to appropriate parties using information provided by the sales team, project management team and customer.
- Exchanges information and resolves issues with senior level staff in regards to program/project related issues.
- Ensures permits are issued and projects are completed in the most cost effective, accurate, timely manner.
- Provide assistance in reviewing technical customer requirements during the bidding process.
- Provide assistance in reviewing all vendor layouts, quotes, and specifications against project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, technical specifications, scope and budget constraints.
- Must have a general understanding of construction building codes which support the application of permits.
- Identify opportunities for technical innovation and process optimization.
- Must be willing to remotely manage small projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must be versatile and willing to assist with other miscellaneous administrative duties to sales, project management and the management team.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelors degree preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience is preferred
Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of computer operation and ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel., CAD preferred, must be willing to learn.
Other Requirements: Project management, construction management or project coordinator experience required
