POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of Human Resources, Safety, and Training is responsible for leading Equipment Depot’s (EQD) Human Resources, Safety, and Training functions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is a key member of the Company’s executive leadership team.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s Human Resources division.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on HR and Safety projects and systems.
  • Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements HR and Safety-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support to the operations of the organization.
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Establishes and administers the department’s budget.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Chief Operating Officer and other leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in HR and Safety management.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education : Bachelor's degree required, masters degree preferred.

Experience : 10 years of relevant leadership and senior management experience. Must have managed a P&L greater than $100 million.

Computer Skills : Strong knowledge of relevant software and standard business applications

Other Requirements :

  • Requires strong selling, planning, relationship building, problem-solving, interpersonal, communications, analytical, decision-making and deadline management skills.
  • Must be multi-task oriented and able to work on several ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.

    Work environment varies from office to job site to industrial locations
