The inside parts of a service department focus on supporting service technicians in efficiently completing repairs. Key areas include a well-organized parts storage section for easy access to inventory, a tool storage area for maintaining necessary equipment, and service bays equipped for repairs. Coordination systems ensure technicians can quickly order and pull required parts, streamlining workflow and minimizing downtime. These elements work together to enhance repair efficiency and operational effectiveness
Duties:
1. Assist with managing repair orders and inventory management systems.
- File Paperwork
- Open Rental Repair Orders
- Keep parts organized in service.
- Parts control for upcoming builds
- Takeoff parts
- Pull and control all parts between service and the warehouse.
- Assist with scheduling shop
2. Parts on Repair Order as needed.
- Pull and control all parts flow between shop, sales, warehouse.
4. Make sure technicians have all the parts when needed
5. Order and receive Shop Supplies
6. In town expediting
7. Help technicians with parts research
8. Inter-departmental paperwork
9. Help with big projects parts planning and coordinate parts orders.
10. Assist with customer service technical support.
- Look up and pull all “sold with” parts for sales packages
- Assist tecs with extensive parts lists, including looking up parts, checking for serial breaks, updated parts
- Researching and Finding sources for outside parts on custom jobs, including going and getting them.
- Keeping track of shop supplies, ordering and stocking them
- Help move equipment for techs, customers, heat things up, clean shops, take out trash.
- Small repair jobs. IE Ariens, Flagros, this is rare and only when time allows.
- Random research projects
18. All other duties assigned by manager.
Requirements
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- 1 year experience with parts sales preferred
- 1 year computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) preferred
- Strong customer service skills and knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, to include assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Strong oral communication skills, to include effectively conveying information to others, and giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as data entry, managing documents and records, and other office procedures and technology
- Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use and dexterity of arms, legs, and moving the whole body, to include, but not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, tugging, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing and descending stairs and ladders; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of computer keyboard and/or touch pad; to verbally communicate to exchange information; to see and hear within a reasonable range for a sales and/or warehouse environment with or without correction.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
