Behavior Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and patient care to individuals in need. Your work will focus on supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges, particularly those in special education settings or with autism spectrum disorder.
Duties:
- Implement behavioral therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct one-on-one patient care to individuals with behavioral health needs.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the overall well-being of clients.
- Utilize your knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with children to deliver high-quality care.
- Assist in the documentation of medical records and progress notes accurately.
Experience:
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, families, and individuals receiving services.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
