Equitable is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Marketing Director to join our Employee Benefits Commercial Line of Business Marketing team. The Director, Employee Benefits Business works closely with other members of the Employee Benefits business and the Marketing CoE (Center of Excellence) to provide marketing support for the Employee Benefits Line of Business (LOB). This position is a hybrid with a blend of in-person and remote work schedule out of our Charlotte, NC (preferred) or New York City office.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage the EB marketing team as a leader on the EB marketing team
- Lead marketing strategy development aligned to both the Employee Benefits and Marketing COE business goals to drive business results.
- Generate innovative approaches to engage brokers and business owners that break through compared to competitors.
- Collaborate with the EB LOB team to create marketing strategies that tie to the business goals of the different groups within the LOB from product launches, product enhancements, broker engagement.
- Create and implement EB marketing programs including marketing campaigns across different platforms (e.g. digital, social, search, email).
- Lead measurement process in collaboration with Data, Analytics & Insights group to accelerate results and processes.
- Collaborate with Marketing COE members to implement Employee Benefits marketing programs in connection with product/service launches and promotion of existing products and value add programs.
- Partner with Employee Benefits Line of Business senior leaders to engage with numerous teams including Employee Benefits Sales and Product Management.
- Deep understanding of Sales Force Marketing Cloud to develop optimal customer journeys that are optimized and improved over time.
- Articulation of value proposition to target customers and other key stakeholders (e.g., brokers, employers, and employees).
- In depth knowledge of marketing systems including Workfront, eDox, Seismic, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adtrax and Tableau.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
- 10 years professional marketing experience
- Experience Marketing (B2B) Employee Benefits/Group Insurance products
