How You’ll Contribute:
As a Disbursement Specialist, you will be responsible for processing complex financial transactions while ensuring excellent customer service. This role will work closely with internal teams, including Policy Administration and IT, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled in financial processing, with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
What You’ll Do:
- Process financial transactions, including withdrawals, surrenders, 1035 exchanges, life policy loans, and rollovers.
- Respond to inquiries from agents, independent marketing organizations, and policyholders by researching and providing accurate information.
- Identify system inefficiencies and assist in preparing requests for system updates and modifications.
- Participate in testing new system enhancements and collaborate with IT to resolve any issues.
- Review and interpret paperwork, exercise sound judgment, and request exceptions when needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members on processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist in developing and improving department workflows to enhance service delivery.
- Support other teams and take on additional responsibilities as needed to achieve company goals.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment, contributing to company-wide objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 1 years of life insurance and/or annuity experience preferred.
- 6 months of inforce financial processing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage professionally with customers.
- Ability to handle escalated calls and inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability to changing processes and procedures in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently.
- Commitment to integrity, teamwork, and customer-focused service.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily remote with occasional on-site requirements.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, sit for extended periods, and use a computer frequently.
- No travel required.
