How You’ll Contribute:
As a Funding Specialist, you will play a key role in processing incoming applications, managing daily check deposits, and ensuring accuracy between system and bank deposit balances. You will collaborate closely with agents, independent marketing organizations, and internal and external partners to deliver excellent customer service. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive problem solvers, and passionate about financial processing.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for agents and business partners, addressing inquiries and resolving escalated issues.
- Perform quality reviews on team outputs to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identify system deficiencies and collaborate on necessary updates or enhancements.
- Support testing of new system enhancements and contribute to workflow improvements.
- Review documentation, apply sound judgment in processing exceptions, and communicate changes effectively.
- Train new team members on procedures and regulations.
- Process incoming loan payments, additional premiums, and outgoing refund transactions.
- Maintain accurate records and reconcile outstanding suspense items.
- Provide technical expertise and assist in complex issue resolution.
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of banking or financial processing experience required.
- 4 years of experience in life and annuity processing preferred.
- Experience with bank deposit balancing and reconciliation is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication, including handling escalated inquiries.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.
- Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
