How You’ll Contribute:
As a Policy Accounting Senior Associate, you will play a key role in monitoring policy administration transactions, processing escalated cases, and ensuring the accuracy of outgoing distributions. This role collaborates with Treasury, Financial Reporting, and other departments to maintain efficient operations and compliance. What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and review outgoing distributions, ensuring transaction accuracy and compliance.
- Process escalated policy accounting transactions, particularly complex or complaint-related cases.
- Collaborate with Treasury to handle stop payments and void requests.
- Review policy documents, ensuring appropriate approvals and compliance.
- Assist in developing workflow improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.
- Process payments, including refunds, ACH returns, and loan payments.
- Ensure financial integrity through reconciliation and internal control measures.
- Provide cross-departmental support and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking or financial processing.
- At least 1 year of experience in reconciling and balancing transactions.
- Familiarity with life and annuity insurance administration preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other financial processing systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily a desk-based role with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs).
- Frequent use of computer systems and engagement in verbal communication.
