What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Data Reporting Associate (Contract Opportunity) position at EquiTrust?
How You’ll Contribute:
As a Sales Data Reporting Associate, you will be responsible for reviewing, compiling, and implementing data reports related to EquiTrust’s distribution and sales activities. This role will work closely with Sales and Marketing leaders to provide insights that support business initiatives and performance tracking. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about leveraging data to drive decision-making.
Please Note: This is a 6-month contract with potential of extension and conversion (extension/conversion not guaranteed).
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and ad hoc sales and distribution reports to support business planning and performance tracking.
- Monitor and analyze sales production data across various communication channels, including email, agent websites, and mobile apps.
- Compile and track sales data to identify trends, assess performance, and inform business strategies.
- Collaborate with the data warehouse team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for reporting and forecasting.
- Generate user-friendly reports that provide clear insights into sales production and distribution activity.
- Support the Sales and Marketing team with additional reporting needs as required.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by working collaboratively and upholding company values.
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science) preferred.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree: A minimum of 1 year of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems within the independent (non-captive) agent/marketing organization distribution model handling large data sets and relational databases required.
- Associate degree: A minimum of 2 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems within the independent (non-captive) agent/marketing organization distribution model handling large data sets and relational databases required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of 3 years of related work with insurance and annuity processes and systems within the independent (non-captive) agent/marketing organization distribution model handling large data sets and relational databases required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data tools, databases, and reporting methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Salesforce or other reporting platforms.
- Understanding of data integration and interdependencies within information systems.

- West Des Moines, IA
- Office Location: Mostly On-Site
- Expected Travel: Infrequent travel (less than 5% of the time)
