Responsibilities and Expectations
1.Mortgage Loan Operations
Train new hires on job function.
Continuous coaching and training with mortgage operations staff, loan processing and rate lock desk.
Keep up to date on all Operations procedures & back up staff when needed.
Assist VP of Mortgage Operations with any tasks assigned
Learn Encompass Admin.
All Mortgage Operations staff in Loan Processing and Rate Lock Desk will report to the Mortgage Operations Supervisor.
The Mortgage Operations Supervisor will report to the VP of Mortgage Operations Officer.
2.Other Tasks
Create and update mortgage departments training guides.
Balance mortgage General Ledger’s daily / weekly to ensure accuracy.
Balance Appraisal and Mortgage Insurance DDA’s weekly.
Approve Employee’s bi-weekly time for payroll.
3.Mortgage Loan Compliance
Ensure loans are in accordance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices.
Keeps informed of the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
Consistently works in accordance to published department sales and service standards.
Benchmark of less than 5% error ratio as documented through Quality Control reports, Internal Audits, External Audits and Regulatory Examinations.
Employee is responsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
4.Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills & Education
Highly self-motivated and a driven individual
3 years mortgage operations experience
Previous management experience required.
Excellent problem-solving skills to identify client needs and resolve problems
High school degree or equivalent
