General Job DescriptionEquity Smart is seeking an experienced and strategic Training Director to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive training programs for Loan Officers (LOs) and other staff. This role is critical to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development while ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and regulatory requirements. The Training Director will work closely with leadership, HR, and department heads to enhance Loan Officer performance, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance across all training initiatives.
The Training Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s training strategy and is instrumental in driving employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy tailored to the needs of Loan Officers and other departments.
- Focus on increasing Loan Officer productivity and implement systems to keep them accountable
- Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs, including onboarding, compliance, technical skills, and leadership development.
- Oversee the implementation of Equity Smart’s Learning Management System
- Continuously assess and refine training content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and engagement.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs across the organization.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on training-related strategies and outcomes.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, including licensing and certification requirements for Loan Officers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records in the LMS system.
- Monitor and report on training metrics, including participation, performance, and ROI.
LO Onboarding and Development:
- Partner with the onboarding team to design seamless and engaging onboarding experiences for new hires.
- Implement career development programs to support employee growth and succession planning.
- Collect and analyze employee feedback to continuously improve training programs and materials.
Technology and Innovation:
- Leverage technology, including e-learning platforms and LMS tools, to optimize training delivery and tracking.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in training methodologies to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs.
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements for the mortgage and financial services industry.
- Proficiency in HRIS/LMSs and e-learning tools.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze training metrics and demonstrate ROI on training initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
- Familiarity with the unique training needs of Loan Officers and the mortgage industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in change management and organizational development is a plus.
