A natural gas Equipment Operator will be led by a seasoned Foreman, and alongside your peers (Skilled Laborers, Driller, Welders, and Pipefitters), you will have the opportunity to excel in your trade while receiving the on-the-job training needed to succeed in multiple areas in the industry.
Responsibilities :
- Safe Operation of construction equipment and work vehicles used in underground installation of natural gas distribution piping / infrastructure.
- Follow and adhere to all safety standards when using equipment, driving company vehicles, and working on the site.
- Use hand tools to dig around existing utility structures to prevent damage!
- Load and unload materials and equipment at worksite, and company yard.
- Keep worksite clean, organized and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleanup of assigned vehicles and all equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
- Satisfactory result of pre-employment background screening if applicable.
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record is preferred.
- Traveling out of town to work on remote job sites when needed or directed by manager.
- Current Class A CDL
Environment :
- Sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions.
- Work will include prolonged and repeated : lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, feeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Working safely requires quick / accurate hands-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
