Horizontal Directional Driller/Locator with CDL - Gas Distribution

Equix Energy Services is currently seeking an efficient, safety-minded Directional Driller & Locator for underground utility construction services. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in a variety of positions and locations. Our current construction services focus primarily on the underground installation of natural gas distribution piping along with power and telecom infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

Identifies buried utilities utilizing specific locating devices Be able to read and understand utility provided maps/prints Familiar with Digitrack locating equipment for directional drills Operate Horizontal Directional Drills for underground utility installations Maintain all equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines while reporting any findings to supervisor Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision Prepare construction sites as directed from the Foreman/Superintendent on the job Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Valid Driver License with clean record Prior experience in directional drilling Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening Traveling out of town to work on remote job sites when needed or directed by manager Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, reach, stand, climb, kneeling, and pushing Ability to walk on uneven terrain in dirt and grass or on streets and sidewalks Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job Prior locating experience highly preferred Class A CDL preferred
