Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Intake Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, United States. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the initial contact and information gathering process for our organization. This position requires a professional and supportive individual who can effectively handle client interactions while maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct initial interviews with clients to gather essential information and assess their needs
- Enter and maintain accurate client data in our database systems
- Perform preliminary eligibility screenings for various programs or services
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth client processing
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the intake process
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
- Prepare and organize intake documentation for further processing
- Assist in identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in client information
- Collaborate with team members to improve intake processes and efficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in data entry and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Customer service orientation with a supportive and empathetic approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of intake procedures and documentation best practices
- 1-3 years of experience in intake, customer service, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred (not mandatory)
- Familiarity with social services, healthcare, or legal intake processes is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Bilingual skills may be beneficial (Spanish/English)
