Job Description
Provides transportation support to the Center using GSA vehicles. Transports trainees to and from off Center appointments and other destinations as assigned.
- Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required.
- Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Company requirements.
- May be assigned to assist in other departments as required.
- Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary.
- Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor.
- Maintains the care, cleanliness, and upkeep of the Center’s vehicles.
- Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
- Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
- Ensures that only authorized students are transported on and off Center.
- Keeps accurate log of students transported off of and returned to Center.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attends all required staff training opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience working with youth.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements with an acceptable driving record.
- With possession of Valid Driver’s License, CDL requirement may be temporarily waived if individual can obtain valid CDL with endorsements within ninety days of hire date.
