The Facilitator & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and delivering career readiness workshops and outreach efforts to support individuals facing barriers to employment. This role engages both adult and young adult job seekers in dynamic, interactive sessions that enhance workforce skills, increase employability, and promote self-sufficiency. The successful candidate will have experience facilitating workshops, working with diverse populations, and utilizing various platforms for both in-person and virtual service delivery. This role requires tracking and reporting on participant outcomes and service conversions to ensure program effectiveness and accountability.
Job Description
Workshop Development & Facilitation:
- Design and deliver engaging career readiness workshops covering topics such as resume writing, interviewing skills, workplace professionalism, and job search strategies.
- Adapt workshop content to meet the needs of diverse audiences, including individuals with barriers to employment such as justice involvement, disabilities, or limited work experience.
- Utilize interactive and adult learning methodologies to maximize participant engagement and knowledge retention.
- Facilitate both in-person and virtual sessions, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness in each format.
Outreach & Engagement:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with individuals in need of workforce services, including collaboration with community organizations, schools, and employers.
- Establish relationships with local agencies, social service providers, and training institutions to expand referral networks.
- Promote workforce development programs through social media, community events, and direct engagement efforts.
Data Tracking & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of workshop attendance, participant engagement, and service outcomes.
- Track and report key performance indicators, including workshop effectiveness, job placements, and source conversions (e.g., referrals leading to employment or training enrollment).
- Analyze data to measure program impact and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years of experience in workforce development, career coaching, training facilitation, or a related field.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate diverse adult and young adult learners.
- Experience developing and facilitating workshops in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with community partners and job seekers.
- Proficiency in using virtual platforms (Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, etc.) and learning management systems for remote service delivery.
- Ability to track data, analyze trends, and report on program performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with populations facing employment challenges (e.g., justice-involved individuals, individuals with disabilities, veterans, etc.).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
