Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to Safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while managing time effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
- Utilize equipment such as Hand Trucks for moving heavy loads as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and local geography is an advantage.
- Ability to move heavy packages (up to 150 lbs).
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as per company and FedEx policy.
