Era Living is seeking a full-time administrative assistant to support our care team in our memory care unit (The Terrace) at Ida Culver House Broadview, a beautiful assisted living community in North Seattle, WA. The Terrace is home to more than 40 residents living with dementia. Available shifts will be scheduled 09:00am - 05:00pm.
Ida Culver House Broadview is close to several bus lines and has free street parking available nearby.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Terrace Administrative Assistant supports the team by acting as the first point of contact for residents, family members, medical providers and outside agencies. This role will create and maintain department documents, forms and spreadsheets, and provide administrative support to the Community Health Director, Terrace Manager and department staff. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with care, taking vital signs and scheduling for resident assistants as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
- Greets visitors, answers phones, and takes messages or communicates with RAs via radio for immediate resident needs
- Creates and maintains departmental documents, forms and spreadsheets, including but not limited to: resident list, DSHS roster, meal attendance, assessment due dates, mandatory trainings, flow sheets, staff phone list, etc.
- Provides administrative and clerical support to the Terrace Manager and Community Health Director
- Maintains Terrace resident records and charts
- Maintains Terrace spend-down including processing invoices and forwarding to Terrace Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents who have cognitive impairment, staff, and resident families
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format
- Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record, meet high performance standards, and portray a positive attitude
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED certificate, preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification, required; Registered Nursing Assistant Certification acceptable with proof of graduation from Era Living approved school, a copy of NAR license, and on condition that CNA license is earned within 120 days of hire
