Your role:
As a Metrology Electronics Engineering Technician on the FMA contract you will be responsible for conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments to be used in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard and non-standard test equipment and records test data. Also, knowledge of various types of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, multi-function test sets, etc.), and skills in their use.
What you’ll do all day:
- Component level repair with a working knowledge of various types of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, multi-function test sets, etc.), and skills in their use.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, electro-magnetic and mechanical theories.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies to repair electronic test equipment. Soldering experience of both surface mount and through hole.
- Computer skills in MS Suite with networking knowledge of GPIB, serial, and RS232 interfacing of automate test equipment.
- Ability to perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
- Conducts various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments to be used in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard and non-standard test equipment and records test data.
- Extracts and complies a variety of technical data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processes data, identifies errors or inconsistencies, and selects methods of data presentation.
- Capable of performing, supervising, and inspecting the duties and work of Level 1 Engineering Technicians.

Minimum requirements for this position:
- 5 years of experience with component level repair in any related Military Occupational Specialty MOS and 2 year technical trade course and study or a four year engineering technology degree.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
