Job Duties
- Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in an administrative or technical area. Applies acquired job skills and ERCOT policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks and expand skills.
- Works on assignments that are usually within an area of expertise that are semi-routine in nature. Applies knowledge and understanding to resolve most problems and issues but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Normally follows established procedures on routine work and requires instructions on new and/or complex assignments.
- May provide informal guidance to lower level colleagues.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk daily for extended periods and repetitive use of hands
- Must have ability to carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal stakeholders, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and secures, sorts, and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Communicates clearly with business users to understand complex information technology receiving requirements and to convey important information regarding the status of shipments and deliveries.
- Documents receiving activities within the ERP system to ensure prompt payment upon verification of received items.
- Contributes to the timely onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors by ensuring that equipment is delivered and retrieved expeditiously.
- Monitor purchase order status and follow up on deliveries.
- Manage warehouse operations and optimize storage space.
- Implement inventory control procedures.
- Maintain secure storage of critical assets.
- Arrange transportation and coordinate shipments with carriers.
- Track shipments and manage delivery schedules.
- Resolve shipping issues and coordinate returns.
- Monitor freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost per unit.
- Utilize data to identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Requires minimum 5 years experience in shipping, receiving or facilities operations
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Required)
