What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Engineer position at Erdman Anthony?
An experienced NICET Level III or IV certified Resident Engineer is needed for the rehabilitation of CR 12 (Rapids Road) and CR 85 (Raymond Road) in the town of Lockport, New York for Niagara County. This is anticipated to be a multi-season construction project that is expected to start this spring with completion in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contractors' work to ensure conformance to contract documents.
- Supervise work of inspection staff.
- Address field and design changes as necessary.
- Prepare engineer’s diary and daily work reports documenting completed work for payment to contractor.
- Approve contractor submittals.
- Prepare payment estimates and change orders.
- Hold bi-weekly progress meetings.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of construction inspection experience on highways.
- Efficient with the use of Appia.
- Provide a detailed resume highlighting your highway experience and a minimum of two client references.
