What You Will Do :
Be an advocate for and educate Front End Associates about the company's mission and familiarize yourself with our products, promotions, and membership program.Educate customers on the benefits of our membership program, non-profit donation drives, or other rotating promotions.Meet the monthly minimum membership sign-up requirement by actively engaging with customers and encouraging them to sign up for a membership, using the tools and techniques provided for you. Encourage Front End Associates to meet their monthly goals, and hold them accountable.Work safely at all times and follow all established safety guidelines and procedures.Ensure all customers receive outstanding service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, inquiring if any assistance is needed, listening to the needs of customers, and maintaining excellent product knowledge.Maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor at all times toward customers, co-workers, vendors, and all others.Assist in overseeing the accurate and efficient operation of all cash registers; includes cash management, balancing registers, providing change, processing overrides, approving returns and exchanges, and monitoring the honesty and accountability of cashiers.Determine cashier work procedures, prepare break schedules, and expedite workflow.Control productivity of work, supervise the cashier break schedule, and ensure constant workflow.Ensure that cashiers are properly verifying the age of any customer buying age-restricted products.Supervise that the cashiers follow company policies regarding the Food Stamp and WIC programs.Communicate customer concerns and requests to management.Work as a cashier and communicate the need to open lanes if volume dictates.Monitor new employees, and ensure that all training procedures and policies are being followed.Other duties as assigned by management.What You Will Bring :

Minimum 1 years of experience as a Lead in the Grocery Retail or Customer Service industry preferred.Bilingual English / Spanish preferable, but not necessary.Erewhon has many opportunities for career development and growth as we expand across Southern California with ten current stores (Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Culver City, Grove (Fairfax), Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Studio City, and Venice).
