Driver- Alternative Student Transportation

Job Overview:
We are seeking responsible and dependable individuals to join our team as Student alternative transportation Drivers. As a Student Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school or school-related activities. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive experience for the students and their families.

Duties:

• Safely transport students to and from school or school-related events according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student passengers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, including seating areas.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to address any concerns or issues related to transportation.
• Enforce vehicle safety rules and disciplinary procedures as needed to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Provide assistance to students with special needs or mobility challenges as required.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on safety protocols, regulations, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of daily mileage, passenger counts, and other relevant information as required.

Experience:

• Experience working with children and/or individuals with disabilities preferred but not required

Requirements:

• Drivers must have a personal vehicle, insurance coverage and valid registration
• A cell phone to access driver app during trips and communicate with Dispatch
• Clean driving record
• CPR, First aid, and Defensive Driving certified
• Pass a background check and Pre-employment drug screening
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Drivers License
• Pass a certified Vehicle Inspection
