Job Profile: Quality Control Manager (QCM)
The QCM is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality programs, procedures, and requirements for all industrial construction crafts. This includes ensuring conformance with current ASME stamps and preparing for tri-annual reviews. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industry codes and standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Position Overview
The QCM reports directly to the Vice-President but coordinates closely with project managers, HR, operations managers, and EHS. They must have the soft skills necessary to develop positive relationships and inspire continuous improvement within all levels of the construction organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Applicable Experience & Competencies
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of QA/QC experience, AWS CWI certification, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods. They should also be able to work in extreme conditions and travel regularly.
Physical Requirements
The QCM must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extended periods, including bending, squatting, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, crouching, and reaching. They may also work in extreme conditions, including heavy rain, wind, or excessive temperatures.
