ISO Services is a 40 year old industrial service and construction company providing all disciplines of industrial maintenance and construction. We are a division of Ergon Construction Group, an Ergon, Inc. company. Our services include specialty trades (insulation, fireproofing, painting/coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing) in addition to our mechanical and civil capabilities.
Position Overview:
The Firewatch is an entry-level role and provides support for the construction site. The Firewatch's main duty is to survey the work areas for any potential risks and alert proper authorities if any incidents occur. They must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and how to implement them.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with various tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to:
- Carrying materials and tools to different areas of the site
- Cleaning and preparing work areas
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment
- Operating basic hand tools under supervision, including a fire extinguisher
- Provide visual aid to identify hazards and the well-being of others
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks
- Keeps safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
- Follows policies and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook and other facility policy and procedure manuals
- Maintains a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
- Strives to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates
- On call duties as required
- Projects a positive, "can-do" attitude to all customers
- Other miscellaneous duties as requested
Applicable Experience & Competencies:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Requires successful completion of training as outlined by ISO Services.
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills a must.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.
- Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances
- Must be able to work in high places(no fear of heights)
- Must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)
- Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be well-groomed

Salary : $18 - $20
