Position Overview:
ISO Services is seeking dedicated and well-organized individuals to join the Scaffolding division and work for our Flowood, MS branch. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, packaging, and distribution of scaffolding materials, ensuring high safety standards, quality, and service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The yardman is responsible for the proper handling, inspection and control of the rental fleet. The yardman is to report directly to the Scaffold Yard Supervisor and in his absence, to the Branch Manager. The scaffold yardman is allowed to operate a forklift. Listed below are some of the direct responsibilities of the scaffold yardman, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Delivery of scaffolding materials:
- Gathering proper quantities of necessary scaffolding materials.
- Visually inspecting equipment prior to shipment.
- Verify counts and accuracy of the paperwork and shipment.
- Help ensure all paperwork is complete with details and notes for each shipment.
- Delivery paperwork (including loads assembled by any other employees).
- Check weights on the paperwork to help ensure shipment is within allowable weight range.
- Requires operation of forklift.
- Packaging, wrapping, strapping, and preparing items properly for shipping.
- Assist as needed loading and securing materials for shipment.
- Take pictures of each scaffold shipment before it leaves the facility.
- Meet deadlines set by company management or our clients for material pickup, shipment, and/or delivery.
Scaffolding returns:
- Receive and visually inspect all incoming material shipments and count to ensure accuracy.
- Count with customer present when able.
- Note anything any lost, or damaged equipment on the return paperwork and/or any deficiencies regarding the driver's information.
- Returning the equipment to the proper yard locations.
- Separate re-rented materials for return to the initial owner.
General duties:
- Organize and store products in designated areas and maintain an efficient yard layout.
- Maintain a clean and safe scaffold yard, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Successfully complete and understand all required safety training.
- General housekeeping of warehouse and exterior premises.
- Reporting of improper equipment handling by others.
- Complete care and preventative maintenance of yard equipment and tools.
- Notify operations of any deficiencies of yard equipment and tools.
- Maintain all required yard equipment accessories and perform required inspections.
- Perform required maintenance and inspections on forklifts.
- Report any unsafe acts.
- Conduct required safety meeting.
- Supervise any temporary labor assigned to the yard.
- Attend all required safety meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor/Branch Manager.
- Support other team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations at the facility.
- Assist ALL customers and provide exceptional service during order pickups and returns.
- Participate in all facility inventories and assist in managing stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Work with legacy employees to introduce and/or learn best practices in your craft.

Applicable Experience & Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with scaffolding is required.
- Knowledge of scaffolding materials and products.
- Strong basic math skills needed.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work outside in all environments.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (Quantify) and basic computer skills preferred.
- Additional education or certifications in inventory control is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.
- Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances.
- Must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)
- Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be well-groomed.
- This position will be based in Flowood, MS. Travel may be required.
