Group, an Ergon, Inc. company. Our services include soft craft trades (insulation, fireproofing,
painting / coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing) in addition to our mechanical and civil capabilities.
Position Overview :
The Mechanical Piping Site Manager / Superintendent is a leadership role responsible for
managing multi-craft industrial jobsites with an emphasis on piping and structural steel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements for the specific types of work that we
perform.
Supervise and direct foremen and craft employees.Provide scheduling & planning for projects.Responsible for ensuring that all required materials, personnel, tools, & equipment arereadily available for the job.
Responsible for assuring quality of work meets customer and company expectations.Responsible for fostering a safe work environment and prioritizing worker safety.Act as a key point of customer contact for communicating information and updates,business development, customer satisfaction, work coordination, & work planning.
Reviews time recaps and assure accuracy of craft employee time.Responsible for tracking and reporting progress, managing project budget and schedule, andaccurately accounting man-hours to appropriate cost codes.
Responsible for recruiting and acquiring skilled craft in compliance with company policy.Responsible for managing owned and rented equipment, including maintenance andupkeep
Responsible for purchasing materials as required.Responsible for managing sub-contractors if needed and coordinate with other onsitecontractors.
Work with other company personnel to achieve project success, including projectmanagers, quality control coordinators, safety coordinators, payroll coordinators, and
administrative assistants.
Assist with estimating.Assist with change management.Responsible for developing good working relationships with all co-workers, customers,associates.
Responsible for maintaining integrity, professionalism, & morale of ISO Services'jobsites.
Educational Requirements :
Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D.Applicable Experience & Competencies :
Minimum of 15 years of industrial piping / mechanical experience.Requires advanced skills in pipefitting and welding, preferred skills in ironworking andboilermaking, and knowledge of soft crafts.
Requires ability to see / plan weeks ahead, identifying issues before they ariseRequires ability to identify and solve problems in the fieldRequires advanced knowledge of estimating and project controlsRequires strong organizational and communication skills.Requires basic computer skills and ability to proficiently use of a smart phone / tablet.Must be willing to travel and take on out of town assignments for extended periods.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distancesMust be able to work in high places(no fear of heights)Must be able to work in any environment(heat, cold, rain)Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessaryMust be able to stand for an extended period of timeMust be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climbMust be able to work in confined spacesMust be well-groomedAll new hires are contingent on the passing of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
