Ergon, Inc in Vicksburg, MS currently has an opening for a Technical Marketing Engineer - Dielectric Fluids for the Energy & Specialty Solutions Business Unit. A Technical Marketing Engineer is the crucial link between our customers, sales teams, and technical departments.
Responsibilities:
• Immediate customer response person for external and internal customers.
• Customer liaison - contact person, requests for compliance to standard notice, coordinate requested non-routine product data, and comprehensive review of data.
• Sales team liaison - contact person, sample request management/follow up, customer support.
• Supports Technical Marketing Managers global initiatives.
• Identifies and proactively communicates potential technical challenges, product problems, or customer issues. Offers solutions where applicable. Works with team to address and implement solutions.
• Assimilates market trends, collects customer feedback, and offers insights to the organization.
• Provides support for Product Development projects (Product Development and Intelligence); leads projects within PSD
• Task coordinator with lab, production, terminal, R&D, etc.
• Review customer specific specifications and prepare acceptance criteria.
• Understand and relay electrical workings of a transformer
• Travel required
• Participant in industry events
• Ergon representative on applicable committees and working groups
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Engineering, etc.).
- Industry experience with a technical focus on products and key applications.
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to build strong relationships.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
