Maintenance Technician III - 2nd Shift

Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Maintenance Technician III at our manufacturing plant in DeKalb, IL - 2nd Shift

Are you mechanically inclined? Know how to repair and maintain building, industrial, and/or manufacturing equipment? We're looking for a 2nd shift Maintenance technician III in our DeKalb, IL. manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining functionality of all manufacturing equipment, support equipment, machines and tools in good operating order, performing necessary repairs, and preventive maintenance as required. Additional responsibilities include maintenance and up-keep of the building structure/facility and its equipment.

Specific Duties

• Maintain logs identifying all repairs, inspections and the results of these repairs and inspections through MaintainX.
• Conduct plant preventive maintenance program.
• Responsible for the proficient and efficient service and repair of machines, equipment, tools, building, etc.
• Inspect and monitor all equipment, machines, tools, and building for proper operation and mechanical condition.
• Conduct the plant preventative maintenance program in accordance with requirements of the program.
• Assist in installation of new projects or upgrading projects.
• Maintain work area in a clean orderly fashion and equipment in good physical and mechanical conditions.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe, professional manner following all established policies and procedures, cooperating with others and recommended to supervisor any items which will affect quality, safety attitude or performance of assigned duties.
• Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of approved paperwork.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related maintenance experience required
• Able to read and write English
• Knowledge of general shop math, reading charts, tables and drawings, and use of job-related tools, gauges and instruments
• A basic understanding of plumbing, heating, ventilation, electrical, and machine maintenance is required
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, oil lines and automated equipment to include (servo motors, sensors, conveyors, and continuous equipment flow of a line run sealant manufacturing plant)
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role including standing, squatting, stretching, or standing for long periods of time in potentially adverse conditions (semi-indoor/outdoor conditions)
• Physically able to frequently lift and move material and objects averaging 25 to 60 pounds is needed, and on occasion, over 60 pounds
• Must be willing to work overtime and various shifts when required
