Ergonomic Partners is a custom solutions design and manufacturing company with a focus in custom lifting devices, industrial robotics and automation solutions. Engineers, machinist, welders and fabricators work together to make one of a kind solutions and tools. Each design is job specific, so the position will have variety when it comes to the solutions being created.
This role assembles fabricated and machined parts as part of larger custom lifting devices. They will use a variety of hand tools and small power tools for assembly. They will utilize schematics, drawings, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to execute the build and will develop a knowledge base of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. They will test and calibrate assembled units to meet tolerances and product specifications, and ensure proper operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Break down the complete job and organize the assembly build process.
- Review Bill of Material (BoM) into sub-assemblies to check all parts.
- Assemble custom components/subassemblies into complete tool.
- Determine, assemble and align tubing and wiring for the associated machines
- Troubleshoot and debug mechanical assemblies
- Complete final testing and qualification of tool prior to customer acceptance.
- Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness.
- Make suggestions when necessary to improve production.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
CORE SKILLS
- Ability to take ownership of the assembly process from start to finish and navigate issues along the way.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
- Ability to assemble custom components to engineering specifications.
- Possess good mechanical/electrical/pneumatic aptitude.
- Must be efficient in the use of hand tools such as drills, measuring devises, electrical meters, etc.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and hard working with a positive attendance record.
- Ability to manage time to a schedule and accountable for reporting per job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-7 years' experience in custom machine or tool assembly.
- Pneumatic systems knowledge a major plus.Experience testing finished components to proper specification and usage.
- Self-motivated with a drive to complete tasks on time and learn new skills.
- Quality driven and safety focused with a strong attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
