About the Role:

In this role, you will lead and coordinate the complex utility relocation activities needed to move projects forward. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage utility relocation for major projects, understanding scope, installation methods, and impact on utilities (gas, telecom, water, sewer, storm).

  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for major utility providers in the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, major communications companies, and others.

  • Contribute to or draft documentation for design standards and project requirements.

  • Develop and manage a utility relocation matrix for conflicts throughout the project, considering multiple contractors.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to clients as needed.

  • Maintain a utility conflict matrix, tracking risks and relocations.

  • Obtain utility records and planned expansions not covered by SUE investigations.

  • Estimate relocation costs and timing.

  • Transfer utility designs and municipal applications into project standards; prepare

  • Attend utility meetings; maintain notes, action items, and documentation; follow up on action items.

  • Composite Utility Plans; guide CAD assistants as needed.

  • Prepare utility designs and routing plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 plus years of experience designing and/or coordinating Third-party Utility (Electrical, Gas, Communications, steam, other Privates) relocations for roadway or transportation projects within the public Right-of-way.

  • Experience interfacing with Third-Party Utility Companies, preferably in the Puget Sound.

  • Experience managing teams as a Project Manager on roadway and transportation projects.

  • Experience working on large transportation projects within the greater Seattle area.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other engineering/modeling software is desired.

  • Strong writing and editing skills of the English language.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to apply appropriate communication techniques to various audiences.

  • Ability to be organized, accurate, and timely.

  • Associates degree in CAD design or engineering field.

  • Be located within the Greater Seattle Area, or able to relocate.

  • Willing and available to come into the office 3 or more days a week.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
