Position Summary:
- Planner-Buyer II is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials required for Eagan production while balancing inventory levels and meeting forecast and customer demands. This role involves closely working with suppliers, production and other cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain.
Position Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain appropriate system attributes to efficiently drive MRP signal output. Periodically review accuracy of system settings to ensure appropriate data flow.
- Support indirect purchases (MRO) as well as direct material planning/purchases.
- Create internal purchase requisition for VAVE (Value Analysis-Value Engineering) projects.
- Collaborate with Sourcing partner to maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics and Production teams to ensure materials are available to meet order fulfillment as well as production due dates.
- Communicate supply issues, risks and mitigation plans to Ergotron business units and affiliates.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory. Implement strategies to reduce inventory investment and improve turnover rates.
- Promote operational efficiency and facilitate cross-functional decision making.
Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
