Mower is a fiercely independent, 100% employee-owned full-service advertising, marketing and PR firm with professional staff located across the United States. Mower is a remote first agency so the ability to work independently from a home office is required. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Ad Operations Manager to lead the execution, optimization, and management of digital advertising campaigns across multiple channels. This role requires expertise in campaign implementation, working closely with the media team and analytics department to drive performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for developing best practices to streamline ad operations within our full-service agency.
Role and Responsibilities
Campaign Implementation & Execution
- Manage end-to-end execution of traditional and digital advertising campaigns, ensuring seamless delivery across tv, radio, display, video, programmatic, and emerging media channels
- Implement and monitor ad trafficking, tagging, and tracking using ad servers, DSPs, and social media platforms
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure ad specifications, formats, and deadlines are met
- QA ad units to ensure the accuracy, functionality before campaigns launch
- Troubleshoot and resolve ad delivery, tracking, and performance issues in real-time
Campaign Optimization & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the media planning team to align campaign execution with strategy and audience targeting goals
- Partner with the analytics team to monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and provide recommendations for timely optimization
- Optimize campaigns based on A/B testing, audience segmentation, and attribution modeling
Ad Operations & Best Practices
- Develop, document, and maintain ad operations best practices, including process automation, workflow optimization, and quality control measures
- Implement ad fraud prevention strategies and ensure compliance with brand safety, privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), and ad industry standards
- Evaluate and onboard new ad tech platforms, tools, and third-party vendors to enhance efficiency
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates to drive innovation in ad operations
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in ad operations, preferably within an agency environment
- Proficiency in ad servers (Google Campaign Manager, etc.), DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk), social media ad platforms, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Strong understanding of pixel implementation, tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Tealium), and tracking methodologies
- Familiarity with programmatic advertising, RTB, and data management platforms (DMPs)
- Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of ad verification tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, MOAT) is a plus
Salary Range: $70,250 - $120,000 annually
*Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience
