Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a dynamic dining environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using a cash register or point-of-sale system such as OpenTable.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong math skills for accurate billing and handling transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
