What are the responsibilities and job description for the Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant / RVT position at Erickson Veterinary Hospital?
Hi! We're an expanding 4 FTE dog/cat veterinary hospital in Chico. We've been here since 1903 with multi-generational clients. Alongside our full lab suite we are a completely paperless hospital with Ezyvet/VetRadar, utilizing ipads and slack for record keeping and communication.
We are a day practice with 30 minute appointment slots, no night shifts expected. The ideal candidate must have experience in a veterinary hospital. All support staff members are cross-trained. We believe in enhancing the client experience so that they have one point of contact throughout their visit to the hospital, as much as logistically possible. Heavy use of diagnostics, dentals, and surgeries is part of our normal practice flow. We have board certified veterinary surgeons that come twice a month for orthopedic surgeries and other. Starting May 3, 2025 we will be open on Saturday's for urgent care. Through this we will be able to provide expedient care for the community.
Please detail veterinary experience level and familiarity with ezyvet, vetradar, venipuncture, catheterization, cystocentesis, radiograph taking, tonometry, measuring blood pressure.
If you are a RVT please indicate year of licensure. Non-capped CE fees as long as it is mutually agreed upon and licensing fee reimbursement apply.
