About This Opportunity:
- This role is expected to work remote but will require travel.
- The salary below refers to the 50%, that is base and there is a 50% commission paid based on sales/goal achievement.

The Public Sector Regional Sales Manager (RSM) module is responsible for sales within their assigned territory with a mission to provide exceptional customer service and support including but not limited to: new customer acquisition, customer retention, and overall expansion of Cradlepoint's presence through customer meetings, trade-shows/events, channel partner engagement, etc.
The RSM will be in daily contact with current and prospective customers achieve defined sales metrics. The RSM will provide leadership to his/her territory team with the primary objective of securing new customers within the territory. Working closely with the Inside Sales Team and Sales Engineering, the RSM will lead the territory strategy for all regional sales needs and will deliver on growth targets for that market. This role will support state and local agencies (cities and counties) coupled with educational entities.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned sales quota on a quarterly basis as defined by forecasting accuracy pipeline development, and closing business.
- Prepare and deliver a dynamic territory strategy that will result in significant customer expansion across the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless portfolio inclusive of WWAN, Private Cellular, and Neutral Host
- Utilize the sales tools and resources provided by the company to develop an effective prospecting plan while consistently maintaining presence/visibility with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction with their Ericsson Enterprise Wireless investments.
- Always demonstrate a sense of urgency to both prospective and existing customers as defined by documented sales activities.
- Weekly, with your sales director and/or area vice president, review your monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline and define appropriate actions to drive profitable growth.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis and incorporate this information into your territory strategy. This can be achieved through technical updates/refreshers along with regular cadence calls/meetings.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet and exceed customers' expectations.
- Maintain ongoing communication and exceptional service and support to existing customers while mirroring this model to new customers as tracked by sales activities.
- Bachelor's degree supported by 5 years of full-time technical and/or carrier sales experience in the public sector arena (state, local government, and education).
- Demonstrated success in sales in the public sector arena as defined by customer portfolio.
- Experience with procurement vehicles/contracts specific to NASPO, GSA, and other purchasing vehicles.
- Relevant strong experience and knowledge in WWAN and telecommunications. Experience in private cellular networks and neutral host preferred.
- Recent documented experience managing SLED accounts in the defined territory including state agencies/departments, cities, counties, K-12 and higher education institutions.
- Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability; an exemplary track record of consistent achievement in prior roles.
- Ability to deliver a clear and compelling value proposition to customers/partners.
- Must currently reside in within Chicago, IL

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
* $144,000 - $175,000
SIP: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson's Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security

The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
