About this opportunity:
We're a pioneering team behind a custom IDE built on Code OSS (VSCode open source), known for its stellar design, performance, and security. As we expand our platform to incorporate advanced AI features that transform the developer experience, we're seeking a skilled fullstack developer to drive these innovations and bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI and our core IDE functionalities. This role is ideal for a developer who is not only passionate about AI and automation but also deeply committed to enhancing the developer experience through smart, integrated solutions within a robust IDE environment. As part of a small team, your contributions will have a significant impact on shaping our product. This position is hybrid, with three days per week in our downtown Austin office. We look forward to hearing from you!

- Design & Development: Architect and implement AI-driven features such as context-aware refactoring, and automated debugging suggestions.
- LLM Integration: Build robust integrations with large language model (LLM) APIs (e.g., OpenAI's GPT series) to enable dynamic, context-sensitive assistance directly within the IDE.
- User-Centric Features: Collaborate with UX teams to identify developer pain points and implement features that streamline coding, testing, and debugging.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage telemetry and user feedback to continuously refine AI features and ensure they add tangible value to the development process.
- Performance & Scalability: Ensure that AI enhancements do not compromise the IDE's performance; optimize for responsiveness and scalability.
- Research & Experimentation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and NLP; experiment with emerging technologies to keep our platform at the cutting edge.
- Prototyping: Rapidly prototype new ideas and iterate based on developer feedback and usability studies.

- Strong experience in one or more languages: Python, C, C , Go
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with IDE architectures, plugin development, or extension frameworks (experience with Code OSS or VS Code is a plus).
