POSITION : Principal Clerk Typist - 12 Month (Provisional)
LOCATION : Cleveland Hill School District
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, including or supplemented by a course in typing, and three (3) year of office clerical experience
Must beeligibleandqualifiedin accordance with the rules, regulations and administration of Civil Service Law of the State of New York. Must sit for the next test and bereachableon the list generated from that test.
SALARY : $19.31-$20.50 / Hour
PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS :
Thorough knowledge of modern office terminology, procedures and equipment; thorough knowledge of business arithmetic and English; thorough knowledge of the organization and functions to which assigned; good knowledge of methods of maintaining and checking financial accounts and records; ability to plan, supervise and review the work of clerical personnel; ability to operate a micro-computer and / or computer terminal; ability to type from clear copy or rough draft at reasonable rate of speed and a high degree of accuracy; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; ability to work and communicate with staff and the public; clerical aptitude; sound judgment; dependability; initiative and resourcefulness; neatness; tact and courtesy; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Ability to get along with the public and work independently.
